Mojang Studios is teaming up with our talented sister studio King (creators of Candy Crush Saga) to work on a new, Minecraft-themed mobile project: Minecraft Blast!
We’re extremely early days with this project and plan to start rolling out small, limited-run tests in select markets to help us gather early feedback and involve our community from the start.
We’re excited to be on this journey with King and looking forward to sharing more in the future as the project progresses.

Early testing in select markets is common for mobile game development. These regions were selected based on specific testing requirements. The playtest is time-limited, up to a week or two, to gather early feedback and refine the experience before broader release.
At this time, the playtest is only available to players located in Malaysia and Canada. We understand that many players around the world are excited to try Minecraft Blast, and we appreciate your enthusiasm! But don't worry - more regions will be included down the road! While we’re not able to offer access outside of these regions during this phase, we’re gathering feedback to help shape future opportunities.
The first playtests will be limited to the Apple Store, in English, for Canada and Malaysia, but we hope to include more mobile platforms with future playtests.
A small portion of content and features are available to test core gameplay. While the game is still in early stages of development, the game will evolve with expanded content based on learnings and feedback.
This project is a joint collaboration between two world-class teams doing what they do best, together. King's mobile mastery combined with Mojang Studios’ creativity is a strong partnership.
