Pride 2021: Community Builds

One of my favorite ways to celebrate Pride is the parade. All around the world, people fill the streets with noise, joy, and love. This year, like the last one, it’s not possible for these parades to take place everywhere. In the real world, that is. Thankfully, in Minecraft anything is possible. 

The wonderful Kristina Horner on our Community Team asked you to show us some of your favorite Pride builds, and you really delivered! Sound the horns, raise your banners, and get ready to throw your biodegradable confetti – the Minecraft Community Pride Parade is about to begin! 

First up is the Diamond Community with three different builds from their server! 

”I run a Minecraft server with over 150 players and it’s always growing more and more. The things the server and my community have come up with are absolutely amazing. I have always been about bringing people together and I am so happy I'm able to do that through Realms! Our Pride community makes up a big part of our server and every year we like to celebrate them with a massive firework show, and we also like to decorate our server with pride themed colors for the month of June! We're very happy and honored to be able to celebrate them.”

Our second entry comes from Coecoebutter, and thanks to them, our parade is filled with different flags that we can wave in the parade before displaying them in our bases. 

”I am Coecoebutter, I am a part of the Zedaph Patreon Survival Server (aka Zed-Craft), as well as a part of the LGBTQ+ community. As we all know last year’s Pride was a hard time for most people because of the pandemic. In so we had to find other ways to show our pride. During this time, map art in Minecraft was becoming a big thing, and I had a spark of an idea and went with it. During Pride Month last year, and the continuing months, I came up with 16 flags.”
