BI-MONTHLY BUILD CHALLENGE: TRAINS!

All aboard! It’s time for another bi-monthly build challenge, and this time we choo-choo-choose trains! For the first half of July, our theme had people putting on their finest conductor hats and seeing which creation would put them a station above the rest. 

To get everyone on track, the challenge theme asked participants to build a decently sized train station with an interior space, and no teams were allowed. Outside of that, creativity was definitely encouraged!

1st place: CEa_TIde

This submission is absolutely breathtaking. Everything is so relaxing, tranquil, and it looks like a place you want to visit. CEa_TIde describes this as a rural Japanese train station, and you can totally see the fine details with the tatami flooring, shoji screen doors, and pagoda roof design. Where can I buy a ticket?!  

2nd place: sander

Wow! This authentic recreation of the St. Pancras International station in London by sander is incredible. From the exterior with the trees and clock tower, to the indoors with the various platforms and sunlight coming through the windows, this is an impressive build. I think it's time to pack my bags and head straight to England! 

3rd place: dirtymop

dirtymop’s western inspired station is giving Grand Canyon realness with some lite Steampunk vibes. It makes me want to head out to the desert in real life to try and find it! The use of different colored blocks to simulate the appearance of natural layers in the surrounding stone was a fantastic attention to detail, too!
