Historical builds can be just as amazing as any whimsical Minecraft construction and today’s spotlight is no exception. Based on The Palace of La Magdalena, our featured builder Nacho Blas has carefully recreated this structure at a 1:1 scale in Minecraft. Very impressive!

A residence fit for royalty
Dream the winter away with a visit to the Palace of La Magdalena!
The Palace of La Magdalena has a rich and abundant history, from its early beginnings to its most recent renovation in 1995. Located in Santander, Spain, the palace was constructed as a municipal initiative by the Town Council. Eager to present Kings Alfonso XIII and Victoria Eugenia with a summer residence in the region of Cantabria (where Santander is located), construction began in 1908.
These days the real-life palace serves as host to a number of functions, including conferences, meetings, and even weddings, but still manages to maintain an area for historical purposes that reflects its early beginnings as a royal residence.
If a trip to Spain isn’t in your near future to join the 60,000 people that visit each year, you can take a few minutes out of your day and take a virtual tour of the real palace while dreaming about your own magnificent future castle in Minecraft. Thank you, Nacho Blas, for giving us the opportunity to learn more about this wonderful structure.
