Realms Plus: February

Some writers like to pen poems for the people they love, and seeing as you’ve already made it to the second paragraph, that includes you! Here we go: “What says Valentine’s Day more than Mutant Caves?” Ok-aaay, perhaps it’s not my greatest rhyme, but once you’ve started playing this awesome map from Everbloom Games, you’ll forgive me. In this twisting tale, your mission to find your sister will take you into deep caves and have you face dangerous foes. Collect custom gems, level up your armor, and equip your courage in your search for the truth!

If you want more story maps, don’t miss this ghost hunting adventure: Sam & Danni – Episode 3 by Blockception, or the chance to solve the mystery of the disappearing food in The Colossus (Remastered) by Volcano. There’s also a kingdom that needs your help in Kingdom: Survival by Blockception and cats that need rescuing in Fairbanks Fire Station by Aurrora. Once you’re exhausted from all that hardcore hero-ing, head over to Whiterock Castle by Blockception to be treated like royalty and relax.

Close your eyes. Or perhaps just one eye, because otherwise, you can’t read what happens next. Now, imagine a tree in Minecraft that's as big as a mountain. Imagine a chest the size of a thousand chests. And now imagine the loot you would find inside it! In Mega Skyblock by Jigarbov Productions, the Overworld just got a whole lot BIGGER. Challenge yourself, mine with friends, and unlock new achievements in this stunning map – just don’t fall off the edge!

Skyblock Dungeons by Dodo Studios

Speaking of loot, I can’t be the only one that thinks the ideal dungeon would feature lots of grabbable items and zero enemies, surely? Well, Skyblock Dungeons by Dodo Studios definitely has one of those! Take your battles to the sky (literally) in this awesome map that lets you cloud hop with your friends, discover dungeons and fend off foes for glittery, glittery treasure. My advice, though? Bring a sword.

Perhaps I’m bad at dungeons because I’ve never met a lucky mob before, but as February is also Lunar New Year, it seems the perfect time to get introduced! This map from GoE-Craft keeps you on your toes, though, because there is a catch. Your enemy’s luck could be your misfortune, as you won’t know whether they’ll explode or squeak, shrink or grow until you give them a mighty thwack with your sword! Will you have all the luck, or will the mobs you’re battling against? Play alone, as a team, or against your friends as this map puts your combat skills to the ultimate test across four custom battle arenas!

Continue your winning streak with Lucky Block - Game Edition by Doctor Benx, or Infinity Lucky Block Skyblock by Cubed Creations. If you prefer to make your own luck, then venture into a new battle arena with Monster Battle Arena by Jigarbov Productions, or challenge your friends in Capture the Flag by Pathway Studios!

Ocean Fun by Giggleblock Studios

On the topic of questionable luck, here’s a story: In my latest Creative build, I thought it would be cool to try and recreate those aquarium tunnels and make a water ceiling for my axolotls to swim in. Unfortunately, I miscalculated the number of blocks I needed to seal it and ended up turning my entire house into one giant waterfall. Frankly, the whole thing would’ve been a lot more fun if I’d equipped one of the 24 Ocean Fun skins from Giggleblock Studios! Turn yourself into a water nymph, a dolphin, a squid or simply look beach-ready so that if you do happen to flood your entire house, it’ll at least look deliberate!

If the hiss-boom of a regular TNT block just isn’t cutting it for you anymore, then can I interest you in lightning TNT? Or perhaps TNT strong enough to level a small Minecraft village? In TNT Expansion Pack, your love of explosions can mine new depths with not one, not two, but 35 creative TNT additions! Because if you can’t beat the creepers, you might as well join them explode them from a distance with the awesome power of galaxy TNT.

For cuter, less explosive pursuits, why not tame a dinosaur in Cute Dinosaurs by Kubo Studios or befriend a unicorn in Paradise Paradise by Team Vaeron?
