A few weeks ago, we wrote about the launch of our first mobile-first mapMinecraft: Emerald Tycoon by Razzleberries. In that article, we vowed to release a second map that was designed with mobile Bedrock players in mind and the time has finally come to make good on that promise! I want to be clear that this does not mean that I will fulfill any other promises, oaths, or legally binding documents that I may have signed. But unlike breaking a contract, it would be a crime to keep Seaside Story – our latest mobile-first map – from all of you so I am keeping my word!

Gamemode One have put together a map specifically designed for all you mobile users, but it also works for all Bedrock players no matter what platform you’re using. The only difference is that when you play on a mobile device, the experience is even smoother, and in this case, splashier

Seaside Story is a fishing map where you can catch more than 20 types of fish. I am already learning a lot, as my fishing technique is that of a bear where I try to grab them with my paws and then sit and stare into the horizon. Luckily, I had an adorable Mercorgi guide me through some fishing basics. For example, I now know to use a rod to catch fish and a net to catch crabs. What do you do with all the fish you catch? Take them to the aquarium in the middle of the town, of course! When you’ve added all the types of fish from a biome, you receive a quest that allows you to unlock special fish.

Another learning is that you can’t just rely on your wits and the plentifulness of the sea when you go fishing, you also need a sweet ride and the right gear. Thankfully, Gamemode One have ensured that you can customize your own boat and upgrade your equipment! This will make it easier to explore and unlock biome after biome as you catch your fish collection.

Seaside Story is available for free in Marketplace until April 21, 2022, so hurry up and reel it in before it’s too late!
