Free Map: Way of the Bee

Download it from the Minecraft Marketplace!

Cheapskates rejoice! Because as part of our constant, never-ending, seriously-that’s-more-than-enough-now celebration of bees being added to Minecraft, we’re giving away a free map, Way of the Bee.

No way? Yes way! As of today, you can download your free map on all versions of Minecraft that have the Minecraft Marketplace (so that’s Minecraft on Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Windows 10 version, iOS, Android and PlayStation 4*). Shall we enjoy some photos of me being attacked by bees IRL? Um, no, of course not. Let’s enjoy some screenshots from this lovely free bee map instead:

Huge thanks to the excellent Razzleberries team for crafting a delightful bee map for the holidays. I asked their studio lead, Mariana Graham, for some more info about the old timer dressed as a bee in the screenshot. I was not disappointed:

Mariana: “Some say he's not touched the ground in over a decade, and that his tongue is three feet long. All we know is he's called the bee scientist! The bee scientist took his love of bees to extremes by choosing to live among his favourite flower-feeders instead of other humans, learning their ways, tending their hives and eating their honey. He's far from happy about the state of Poppy Isle, where bees have all but died out, and thus is ecstatic to see someone from there taking an interest in bees and trying to re-introduce them!”

Go to the Minecraft Marketplace on your Minecraft platform of choice and help yourself to Way of the Bee. Enjoy!

*Note: the ‘Minecraft Marketplace’ is called the ‘store’ on PlayStation 4. Open it up and get your free map!
