Do you hear that? It’s the excited squeals of horse riders all across the Overworld as we reveal the final features from this year's second game drop! Today’s testing release brings craftable saddles as well as some stunning tracks, courtesy of Amos Roddy – including a music disc! All these features are available to test in Java snapshot and Bedrock beta/preview right now and coming to Android soon!*

Craftable saddles and fresh music
Make travel prep a breeze while you enjoy smooth tunes
Gone are the days of endlessly scouring the Overworld’s chests just so you can tell your steed to go left! Now you can simply craft a saddle by using 3 leather and 1 iron ingot. Want to give your pig a frolic break? Simply remove the saddle by shearing it. It’ll pop off, ready to be stored, put on another mount, or pointlessly carried in your inventory until you remember it’s there.
New music
As you enjoy your handcrafted saddle, listen closely and you might hear something hauntingly beautiful. We’re bringing five new tracks to Minecraft’s ambient music repertoire, crafted by Amos Roddy. His tracks are inspired by the features coming in our second game drop of 2025, including the feeling of cruising across the Overworld on top of a happy ghast. I, for one, am not interested in feeling anything else, really.
Tears music disc
Imagine if the only way to hear your favorite song was on the radio. Well, that was my life for a while, and now I have to go to the Nether to hear my new favorite track! Tears by Amos Roddy is only available on a music disc dropped by a ghast – and not the happy kind. I’ve now defeated several ghasts, and none of them has dropped the disc yet. Am I doing something wrong? Did the devs make it so you need to defeat the ghast in a very specific and tricky way to get the music disc? I’m sure they would never.
Maybe you’ll have more luck than I did! If not, you can always listen to the ambient tracks and Tears on your favorite streaming service, including Spotify and many more!
Try out these features today in snapshot, preview, and beta, and don’t forget to leave your feedback at https://aka.ms/mcgamedropfeedback.
