Updated Update!

You did it!! The community challenge is complete, I can’t believe you placed 200M cushions and 50M straw beds! Well, that’s a lie. I completely believe it as I have tested out each and every one. You’ve more than earned two more free Character Creator items and another Java skin! This brings you to a total of four free character Creator items and two java skins for the whole challenge. Head for the dressing room to claim them now! I’ll catch up, I just have a little more sitting to do.

Update!

Well done, campers! You’ve made it halfway and I am feeling like the mayor of comfort city! You’ve unlocked the free Pillow Suit and Deluxe Shelf cap Character Creator items, and the Big Foot Java skin! But this is no time to rest on your laurels – that’s my job. You have until Friday October, 2 10 AM PT to complete the whole challenge to unlock two more free Character Creator items and another Java skin. Let’s reach ultimate comfort levels with 200M cushions and 50M straw beds, go go go!

Everyone has their own personal camping styles, and this writer is no different! While exploration is great and campfires are cozy, there’s just something about sleeping under the stars. Relaxing by a river. Only taking nature’s calls and ignoring those from your editor. Doesn’t that sound nice?

Well, it would if the ground weren’t so hard and prickly! Don’t be fooled by those grass blocks, they aren’t as soft as they seem. They need a softer element.  A cushier element. Maybe even with some straw? Hmmm… We’re going to have to band together and make the Overworld a little more comfortable for the Wilderness Bound drop. Are you with me, camping community? Yeah!

The challenge

Here’s what you need to do: between Saturday, September 26 and Friday, October 2, 10 AM PT, you’re going to place as many straw beds and cushions as you can. Ultimate comfort, out in the wild. If we can come together and place 50M straw beds and 200M cushions by October 1, 10 AM PT, you will be rewarded with more than just amenities al fresco. Now I know what you’re thinking – that can’t possibly be enough cushions. The number is conservative, sure, but in the spirit of the Wilderness Bound drop we’re going to rough it.

The rewards

Help place 50% of both, and you’ll unlock two free Character Creator items and a Java skin.

But if you complete the entire challenge by placing all of the straw beds and cushions, you’ll unlock two MORE free Character Creator items and ANOTHER Java skin. For everyone!
