    Build Challenge: Spooky Hotel

    With a chill in the air, we know that it’s that time of the year again where spooky things are afoot – and maybe even in your build! You never know what might be lurking in the lobby, elevator, or hallway. If you’re lucky, you won’t spot a skeleton, witch, zombie, or Enderman!

    We asked the community to shock and surprise us with some boo-tiful creations. The theme was Spooky Hotel! Builds were to be decent in size and players had to work by themselves. There were so many good submissions that there was a tie for first place this time. Read on to see which ones were frightfully delightful!

    1st place (tie): iTriplet & kill_Switch

    This hotel towers in the night sky with several floors (perhaps 13?), and you know it has to be haunted by ghosts. iTriplet even made a texture pack for their submission. Plus, who doesn’t love art deco?

    This old, Victorian style hotel built by kill_Switch contains quite the backstory. The story goes that the hotel “brought in people from all over to view its exquisite artworks, receive professional service, and to experience parties in a banquet hall which was an engineering masterpiece. After some of the hotel burnt down and was rebuilt, it was abandoned. It now serves a new type of guests and gives them a home away from home.”

    2nd place: ChomChom

    Those with arachnophobia will likely rate their stay at this hotel by ChomChom 0 stars, as it’s propped up on a rather precarious hill on some spindly legs.

    3rd place: Prettygirl11387


    Slightly less scary is Prettygirl11387’s hotel entrance. Prompting the viewer to use their imagination of what could be inside the full hotel, those glowing red eyes makes me think it might not be so friendly once entering the front door.
