OFFICIAL EXPEDITION NOTICE, SEP 10:
Wilderness Bound sets off in Minecraft on September 15! Adventurers are advised to travel prepared and remain alert along the trail. Pack food, tools, straw beds, and anything else you consider essential to surviving and enjoying the great outdoors. Like a map. And cushions, because the campfire stories will be many!
The dappled forest hides abandoned camps, new building possibilities, and plenty of opportunities to get lost. If you do, remember that adventure begins where the trail ends!
With the new straw beds, you can skip the night without resetting your spawn point – all you need are three hay bales!
Pack your camping supplies, craft some straw beds, and practice your map reading, because you never know how long the journey to the dappled forest could be. This new biome is full of tall poplar trees in fiery colors, so you can’t miss it. Once there, the real exploring begins.
Scout the unfamiliar terrain, parkour across the many shelf mushrooms, and investigate abandoned camps for clues about those who came before. Just remember: getting lost is only an adventure if you eventually find your way back!
Choose your camp wisely
A great door for the great outdoors!
The dappled forest has no shortage of cozy clearings among the poplar trees. Found a spot worth staying in? Time to get building. Gather poplar wood and craft your camp from the ground up, then bring in the expanded concrete and wool sets to make it your own. Whether you're building a simple shelter or a full basecamp, remember that a successful camp is measured not in blocks, but in reasons to stay.
Share your campfire legends
Find a cushion in an abandoned camp or craft one using 3 wool slabs of the same color.
Every good expedition has a (usually chaotic) story to tell. Once the day's exploring and building is done, place some cushions around the campfire and share what went down out there – the shortcut that wasn’t, the mushroom parkour ambush, or the heroic rescue mission for someone still back at camp.
Some memories you can plan, but the best ones you usually can't. So start prepping your inventory, plan your campsite, and get ready to discover what adventures await off in Wilderness Bound!
*New features are coming in the future and will require Minecraft: Bedrock Edition or Java Edition (each sold separately).
