Happy Pride, dearest reader! Depending on where or when this message is reaching you, you may be confused. ”But Sofia, it’s not Pride today!” and ”Did you eat my lunch again? I clearly put my name on it” are two possible phrases that could be running through your mind right now. And to this, and any sandwich or non-sandwich thing you could be thinking, I say – Every Day is Pride. Every single one. All year round. Being proud of who you are doesn't come with an expiration date, conditions, or limits.
It’s just that some days have more official celebrations than others. In the United States, where a lot of our team live and work, their Pride official celebration runs throughout June (and so will ours!). In Stockholm where our HQ is located, we have our week in August. In fact, most cities all over the country celebrate throughout the summer. That’s all well and good, but I’m not here to tell you about a party in Örebro. I’m here to kick off our Minecraft pride celebration! CUE THE BLOCKY CONFETTI!
When we sat down to think about how to celebrate Pride in Minecraft this year, we ran into a problem. A big one. There was no way to decide how to celebrate, there are too many ways! The incredible LGBTQ+ community is not only creative, but diverse. We all find different ways to celebrate, but the main thing we share are our chosen bonds and unbreakable ties. This summer we'll be looking at lots of different ways to celebrate Pride in Minecraft! SUMMON THE RAINBOW SHEEP!!
There’s no time to waste, so let's start with community! Community build challenges to be exact. We want to see your proudest pride builds, not just because they’re incredibly cool, but also as a reminder that We Have Each Other. Always. Forever. No matter what. That’s what community is, both in Minecraft and the real world. CUE THE COMMUNITY TEAM!

Celebrate love, joy, and unity in the most vibrant way possible! Imagine a rainbow field where pride glows in every flower, every wooly baa, and every block.
Your task: create a vibrant, welcoming space where rainbow sheep are able to graze and joy grows like wildflowers. In the spirit of building a better world together, this challenge will be done in teams. So gather your friends, build with pride, and show the world how beautiful togetherness can be!
Keep your eyes peeled for the voting announcement, as this is your chance to help decide the theme for the next build challenge!

- Feel free to work together in teams (max. 5 people – including yourself)
- Make sure to mention your teammates in your final submission!
- Include the word "submission" in your message with the final build.
- You agree that you are the original creator of the submission you’re posting and that no part of the submission was created or generated using AI tools.
