This just in! *Poignantly touches an imaginary headset* I’m getting word of two challenges that will yield some eerie rewards, which might aid in our investigation!
First, there’s the Biome Community Challenge*, where players must brave the pale garden together and place a total of 50 million resin blocks. Our in-studio experts say this is a nearly impossible feat, but Minecrafters aren’t known for giving up easily. If this challenge is completed, participants will receive the Creak emote, which allows them to walk like the unnerving mob!
For the most daring of adventurers, there’s also the Mob Community Challenge*, in which – reader discretion advised – players must attempt to defeat a total of 75 million creakings. How would they even achieve this? We might want to double-check those numbe- no, okay, I'm getting word that these numbers are in fact accurate. Information is still coming in as we speak but I can safely say this is not a challenge for the faint hearted... Once all the creakings have been defeated, the players’ bravery will be rewarded with the Creaking Mask Character Creator item.
These challenges kick off for both Java and Bedrock Edition on December 5. Just load one of your worlds and start placing resin or defeating creakings to participate. For each challenge completed, you will also receive a character skin for Java Edition.
We strongly urge you to participate! By wearing the Creaking mask and using the Creak emote, we aim to better understand the mind of this unnerving creature and find Sophie, hopefully with all hearts intact!
