Full steam ahead for the Universal New Year’s Celebration!
The Universal New Year’s Celebration is in full motion and shows no signs of slowing down! Last week, we trained dragons with Hiccup and Toothless and went behind the scenes at the in-game Universal Studios Event. This week, we are throwing even more mayhem into the mix. And by mayhem, I mean Minions!
But before we use that 33% off discount* and swerve over to our next destination, let’s check out the rest of our itinerary...

I am ready to cause maximum mischief when I open the Minions DLC, and this adventure map lives up to its reputation from the get-go. Within minutes of spawning into its deceivingly joyful world, I’ve climbed through a trap door, gained access to a secret lab, and joined the Minions!
The Vicious 6 hate competition and they’ll do everything in their power to stop anyone trying to get in their way. If I’m going to outsmart Jean Clawed, Nunchuck, Svengeance, Stronghold, and Belle Bottom, I better get to work.
The first thing I do is take Gru’s bike for a spin to see what fun I can get into in this blocky town. I spot some NPCs (non-playable-characters) and choose my first mischief of choice – a fart bomb – and launch it at them. Turns out, I get points for causing mayhem!
Supervillains never reveal their masterplan, but if you ever consider becoming the future leader of the Minions, you might want to brush up on the following skills:
Stealth: especially good when sneaking around
Parkour: to jump between air shafts and/or tricky situations
Kung-fu: in case you get trapped in a martial arts temple
Cycling: the ultimate getaway method
Throwing bananas: because it’s fun and Minions love it!
Evil laugh: what’s a villain without their sense of humor?
