Minecraft Friendly Fishing Add-On

It's time to visit Minecraft's many shores, but this time, remember to bring your fishing gear!

Together with Conservation International – a non-profit working to protect nature for the benefit of humanity – Mojang Studios have created an epic fishing adventure loaded with everything from tuna and clams to anchovies, sharks, and treasures – the Minecraft Friendly Fishing add-on!

However, not everything hiding beneath the surface is finny friends or chests brimming with gold – some of it is plastic waste.

So, pack your tackle box and embark on a journey where you’ll not just fish, but also learn about what we must do if we want to preserve our seas and ensure that sea life everywhere is thriving!

Cleaning the ocean

Sadly, it’s not only fish you’re going to catch once you cast off. Just like in the real world, these waters are full of plastic waste, and again, just like the real world, it pollutes and disturbs the ecosystem.

But fear not as you’re the solution to this problem (like all of us are). As you pull up a bit of plastic, don’t throw it into a lava pool, but recycle it instead, and use it to craft unique items.

And as you collect more and more trash, you’ll unlock new items, more (non–plastic) fish species to catch, plus clean the ocean and learn more about how you can help clean up our real oceans – everyone wins!
