Sometimes here at Mojang Studios, it’s hard to focus on our jobs because we’ve all got our head in the clouds. Or, wait – I think I meant we have our builds in the clouds. And... why are our builds in the clouds? Because it was the theme of our most recent Community Team Build Challenge, that’s why!
As usual, the team had one hour to create the perfect sky build. Involved in this challenge were Community and Social team members Matt, Lindsey, Kristina, Jeremy and Joel. The only rule was that your build couldn’t touch any existing terrain and had to exist exclusively up in the clouds.
Here’s what we made:
Matt was super focused on building a lighthouse in the sky! Perhaps it's a shining beacon to beckon his fellow sky builders. Things were going well until he realized the team was building far above a cold biome and all the water started freezing up! He had to improvise, so the lighthouse's theme took on a new, arctic-like feel. The boat and polar bear were the finishing touches to add a bit of immersion! Is anyone looking for a new job as a floating light housekeeper? We're having a hard time holding down a permanent tenant...
