Realms Plus: December

We’re kicking off Realms Plus-mas in the snowiest setting: Holiday Winter Mansion by CrackedCubes! If you’ve ever wondered where Santa lives (or where your North Pole invitation went) then wonder no more! In this frosty spawn, you’ll discover an incredible arctic wonderland, complete with custom terrain, and an enormous mansion nestling between the snow-covered pine trees. Don unique skins, apply wintery textures, and settle in for a cozy few weeks of exploration as we delve into every nook and cranny of Santa’s mansion. I just want to find that book of his, and make sure my name is on the right side of the list…

Happy Family Roleplay by Pixelbiester

I like to think we’re all one big Realms Plus family that bonds over shared falls from skyblocks, and a shared fear of zombies (or is that just me?). If you also share my love of re-decorating enormous bases and moving all your friends in, then this map is for you! In Happy Family Roleplay from Pixelbiester, you can decorate, paint, and even style your new, blue house with unique furniture pieces! Alongside an enormous mansion, there’s a friendly neighborhood to explore, fluffy pets to adopt, and custom vehicles to drive. If anyone needs me, I’ll be in the cinema room, catching up on my holiday movies.

I might’ve dozed off in that cinema room, because I dreamt of an Overworld where you could tame every single mob you can find! Wait, that wasn’t a dream; that was Pet Mobs by CubeCraft Games! Scour the Overworld and collect them all: build an army of hostile mobs to set against your enemies, or welcome fuzzy additions like pandas and parrots to a rapidly expanding farm. I’m going to fulfill my dreams and build an epic zoo. What says Realms Plus-mas more than a farm filled with pandas? Nothing!

Survival Scavenger Hunt by Pathway Studios

Not many holidays include combative scavenger hunts, but that’s what makes Realms Plus-mas so great! In Survival Scavenger Hunt by Pathway Studios you’re tasked with collecting ten random inventory items from across the Overworld. Play with friends (or against them!) and make sure to nab all the items you need before the timer runs out. I’ve only ever done egg hunts (which are easy when you have a chicken farm!) so I’m looking forward to trying some trickier scavenging, just so long as I don’t need to collect anything from the End. What’s this on my list? “Purpur block?” Uh-oh...

You might think mermaids don’t sound super festive, but this is Realms Plus-mas, and anything goes! Just think of all the fireside stories you’ll be able to tell about mythical mermaids after roleplaying with this fantastic skin pack from Monster Egg Studios! Be warned however: the skins don’t give your avatar extra air bubbles, so if you’re going to go diving for sunken treasure pack a potion or two…

Dark Depths Ancient Creatures by Hourglass Studios

Speaking of fireside stories, did you hear the one about the ancient creatures that began surfacing just recently? I heard they crawled up from the ancient depths of the Overworld, and that one of them has glowing blue eyes, and another has glowing blue hair... How does the story end, you ask? You’ll have to don the Dark Depths Ancient Creatures skin pack by Hourglass Studios and tell me! 

Cartoon Craft by GoE-Craft

I think our final Realms Plus-mas tradition should be something big, and seeing as cartoons are a big holiday tradition here in Sweden, how about we transform our Overworld into one! That’s right, with Cartoon Craft from GoE Craft, you can re-imagine your Overworld as a scene from your favorite cartoon strip. Kapow! Take down a not-so-scary spider. Pow! Hit back at a cartoon creeper. Featuring textures that’ll transform mobs, blocks, and inventory items (and make your minecart look delighted to be barreling down a set of tracks!), this texture pack opens up a world of possibilities. A perfect Realms Plus-mas addition!
