Sulfur cubes
Sulfur cubes are passive mobs that spend their time aimlessly jumping around in sulfur caves – that is until you feed them a block. Sulfur cubes will ingest a variety of blocks, which you can either feed to them or just drop in their vicinity. Once absorbed, each block will have a different effect on the sulfur cube’s physical properties. Experiment and discover how to send a sulfur cube flying, bouncing, sliding, and more! Hint: you can even feed TNT and magma to sulfur cubes.
Need to transport a sulfur cube in a more predictable way? No problem! Just scoop it up using a bucket and it’ll so straight into your inventory, ready for a new home and a new adventure.
Sulfur caves, sulfur spikes, sulfur springs, and geysers
Sulfur caves are the native biomes of sulfur cubes, but you’ll find other things inside them as well. Aside from a slew of hostile mobs, sulfur caves also feature colorful sulfur and cinnabar blocks as well as sulfur spikes – pointy blocks that (unlike pointed dripstone) will not hurt you, despite their sharp appearance.
Sulfur springs and geysers both generate above sulfur caves, on the surface of the Overworld. Sulfur springs may look inviting, but these bubbly bodies of water are blanketed in noxious sulfurous gases that cause Nausea in both players and mobs. Geysers act much like their real-life counterparts: they shoot water upwards at high pressure. Either watch your step or be prepared for flight if you step onto a geyser!
Potent sulfur and new block sets
Potent sulfur is the reason why sulfur springs are so bubbly (and noxious) and geysers are so explosive. Placed directly underneath water, potent sulfur will create bubbles and puffs of gas. When it generates (or is placed) underneath a magma block that’s submerged in water, a geyser will form.
Music disc
Chaos Cubed also brings the appropriately named Bounce music disc! Featuring a track that will have you hopping around like a hungry sulfur cube, you have a chance of finding this music disc inside chests located in mineshafts that intersect with sulfur caves.
Parties feature
Playing with friends is more convenient than ever! The new Parties feature for Bedrock Edition allows you to create a group of players that can seamlessly move between different worlds and realms. You can create a party from the Social Drawer in the game’s menu, and you can invite up to 14 friends. It can either be set to ‘Invite Only’ (so only players you invite can join) or ‘Open’ (so any of your friends can join at any time).
Meet the sulfur cube, explore the sulfur caves, build with new blocks, and cause some chaos with friends on June 16!
