Hold onto your heartstrings, players! The baby mob bonanza about to hit Minecraft has earned its title and it is... Tiny Takeover! Quite fitting, since new versions of baby mobs are about to take over every corner of the Overworld – and we’d better be ready for when they do!
Our cutest drop ever has a name
Beware of cuteness overload in the Tiny Takeover drop!
I counted at least three dozen floofy, derpy, and deceivingly huggable little menaces waddling this way. Whether you plan on befriending, battling, or building new homes for these little ones, let’s look at who is joining the pack and what other new features will cause cuteness overload with this game drop!
Baby farm mobs
I hope you’re ready to be completely charmed by the chunky bodies and floofy little faces of the baby farm mobs! These pint-sized puppies, kittens, piglets, calves, chicks, lambs, baby ocelots, and bunnies (both baby and adult!) are guaranteed to steal the show around every barn and base. I mean, just look at that completely cubic chicks! And the chubby little kittens!
Baby mounts
Galloping into Minecraft are also our big-eared baby donkeys, loveable baby mules, and chunkier versions of every single baby horse variant – from spotted to skeletal! Band together to breed enough for an adorable stampede or pour all your love and attention into one tiny tot!
Aquatic baby mobs
Hoping to hide from all the cuteness in our blocky oceans? Well, good luck with that because our aquatic babies will certainly take your breath away. Our baby axolotls are brighter, baby dolphins more round-nosed, and two versions of baby squid squidgier! And let’s not forget the baby turtle who is now the babiest baby of them all!
Hostile and scary baby mobs
Unfortunately for our safety, our undead and hostile baby mobs are also looking cuter and more huggable than ever! Beware of the adorable lure of the baby zombie, zombified piglin, hoglin, zoglin, zombie villager, husk, and gurgle, who despite their tiny bodies have very hostile hearts.
On the other hand, we have the baby piglin, who many assume are hostile like the adult piglin, but who are just mischievous when little! Then we have our grumpiest and most lava-ble baby strider!
Baby villagers
Of course, our iconic baby villagers also got more charming! Waddling through their villages on stubbier legs, with button-noses, and in new outfits (just look at that hoodie!), all seven variants are ready to “hrmm” their way into your heart, but also all kinds of trouble...
Wild baby mobs
Last, but certainly not least in our trail of baby mobs, our feral ones soon storm everything from icy tundra to the sandy deserts and most biomes in between! Some are sweet, some are spicy, and far from all are tamable, but the whole pack of baby foxes, polar bears, pandas, bees, llamas, armadillos, goats, and snifflets are a whirlwind of cuteness.
Golden dandelion
Already dreading your new tiny friends growing up? Then we have a cool new feature for you! If you feed your baby mobs a golden dandelion, it keeps them young forever. Unlock the recipe by breeding your first mob, then craft your golden dandelion using eight golden nuggets and a dandelion. Changed your mind and want to see your baby grow up? Just feed it another golden dandelion and soon you’ll have a grown friend to play with.
Craftable name tags
With all these new baby pets you’ll adopt, you’re going to have to start thinking about names! Because name tags are now craftable using paper and any metal nugget.
Bedrock spawn egg functionality
Just like in Java Edition, you can now spawn baby mobs using that mob’s spawn egg on the adult mob in Bedrock! So if you want to spawn a kitten, use a cat spawn egg on an adult cat, and voila! Easy peasy baby breezy!
Custom mob sounds
As if this drop not just being the cutest-looking drop in Minecraft history, it’ll now be the cutest-sounding too! Piglets, wolf pups, kittens, foals, and baby chickens are making squeaky piglet oinks, happy puppy yaps, itty-bitty meows, playful whinnying, and tiny chirps.
On top of that, pigs, cows, cats, and chickens will now spawn with different sound personalities, bringing lively variety to your farm through distinct oinks, moos, meows, and clucks.
New sound block instrument: trumpet
Sound the trumpets! Because those are all the features for our cutest drop yet – including the new note block instrument: trumpets! Place a block of copper under a note block and depending on its oxidation, the trumpet will sound different!
Told you it’d be cuteness overload! Better start prepping your new play pens, get the name list out, and gather material for a ridiculous amount of both name tags and golden dandelions – Tiny Takeover is coming to Minecraft soon!
