Privacy Prodigy Launches

Suitable for young people aged 7-18 (and anyone interested in learning more about cyber safety), this free adventure tasks you with protecting your personal data – re-imagined as really cute slime-like mobs! Starting at your home base, you’ll meet your trusted guide and be introduced to the different circles of safety, before venturing out to explore the map with your adorable (but careless!) data bytes.

As anyone that’s played Minecraft before knows, leaving the bright safety of your base can mean facing up to obstacles, and Privacy Prodigy is no exception! Your task of protecting your data will become trickier and trickier the farther you go from your circle of safety at home.

The goal of your adventure is to take your rank from a Privacy Scout all the way up to a Privacy Prodigy. To earn the top title, you’ll need to battle data breaches and round up any lost data-bytes (because they have a tendency to wander off!). Data can end up in the wrong place by accident, or because of a data attack. Rescue them quickly and send them back to safety!

As you explore the map, you’ll learn what kinds of information you need to protect, who you can trust with it, and what strategies you can employ to make your personal data safer. You’ll even learn what to do if your data bytes get into trouble or find themselves in the wrong hands. And what’s more: you’ll have fun doing it!
