The allay flew into our game, our lives, and our hearts earlier this year in The Wild Update. Have you had a chance to befriend one yet? How about two? Because as of today, allay duplication is available in Bedrock Edition, and soon also in Java with the 1.19.1 release!
Allay Duplication is Here
Double trouble, here we come!
The process for duplicating an allay is a very tedious, dry process that involves a lot of paperwork and emailing. Reader, I kid! Filling the sky with baby blue beauties is just as delightful as you would imagine. Here’s what you need to do – get a jukebox and put on some sweet tunes. Bring an allay close to it and wait for it start dancing and twirling around. Take a minute and appreciate the pure joy that this brings to the Overworld. Then, give the allay an amethyst shard. The allay will consume the shard and split in two. Voila! You now have two allays!
The amethyst shard is musical and magical, which makes them vibe so well with allays. They’re also renewable, so you don’t need to worry about running out of them. So if you want even more allays, all you need is more shards and a little patience to wait out the cooldown period. Maybe you use that time to dance with the allays, maybe you don’t. That’s up to you, my friend!
