New on Realms: Being Nice to People

When growing up, I would often stay up too late. To dissuade me from this bad habit, my mother would swoop down from the sky and bite me to remind me of the lateness of the hour. Unconventional, yet effective, which is why I’ve always thought the phantom to be misunderstood. After all, no other mob cares as much about you keeping a healthy sleep schedule. With this minigame, the phantom is going out of their way to be even... gooderer? Travel into the dreams of players to fight off their nightmares and hopefully earn a high score while doing so. Sure, being kind is its own reward, but so is also getting actual rewards, so why not swing for both and knock Mother Teresa off that leaderboard?

CORNERED

If you’re being Cornered, and options to get out are limited, niceties don’t take priority. In this game (and perhaps in real life too?), the best course of action is to place a diagonally adjacent block to one of your previously placed ones. Why? Well, otherwise you are violating the rules of this mini-game! If there’s room to place blocks, there is room for improvement, and we should always strive to be the best we can be to dominate our opponents. Don’t forget to tip your AI on the way out! Token gestures of niceness can also be a good way to show superiority over those below you.

TOY TURTLE ROYALE

In this lesson in karma, we learn to pay it forward! "In random acts of kindness" you ask. Nope! These toy turtles have gone with blasting at each other instead. I guess, “what goes around comes around” is a pretty good lesson too so blast away to your heart’s content.
