Choose your chaos

And get ready for the Chaos Cubed drop!

I don’t know if you’ve heard – but the Chaos Cubed game drop lands in Minecraft on June 16, bringing a new mob to cause mayhem with, new blocks to build with, and a plethora of possibilities.

But what kind of chaos will you create in Minecraft? I asked myself this question recently and realised – I have no idea! I don’t think of myself as a particularly chaotic person (although anyone who has seen my desk might disagree) so instead, I’ve come up with this handy storified quiz.

Play it by clicking the answer to each question that speaks to you, and find your role in the chaos to come!

Dig straight down

Some might say that digging straight down in Minecraft is foolish – but no! It’s courageous!

You courageously fall 30 blocks into a sulfur cave – but luckily, you land in a pool of water! What do you do next?

You follow the distant blocky silhouette on the horizon and find… a wandering trader!

You dig, and you dig, and you DIG until you hear the hiss of a creeper somewhere in the distance.

The more blocks the better! You never know when you might need them

After all, Minecraft is all about RESOURCES.

You punch for blocks, and punch some more, and craft a quick wooden axe for efficiency – until your inventory is filled with blocks.

Do you think you might be a builder? A creator of fantastical inventions and designs?

Listen intently for bats. They’re so cute!

Ah, the dulcet squeaks of bats! You look up for a while, watching them flap cutely around you. Perhaps you can make this habitat a bit cozier for them? You could build them little bat caves. Or a transport system to move them from cave to cave… bat carts!

As you watch them flutter around, you start to wonder. Perhaps you’re a collector of mobs?

A crafting table

OF COURSE you craft a crafting table. How can you craft without it?

Once you have such an untapped source of UNLIMITED crafting* at your fingertips you start to wonder… am I a builder? Is that my distinct brand of chaos?


*I don’t need to add a disclaimer in here. You already KNOW that your crafting is only limited by the resources you have, and the recipes you’ve unlocked!

You can’t go anywhere without a sword. That would be MADNESS.

How would you secure brave victories over hostile mobs without one?!

Uh oh... you suddenly hear the hiss of a creeper! What do you do?

You craft... a hoe!

You might not need it now but you’ll definitely need it later for your impressive Minecraft farm! You can grow carrots for your horses, and beets for the pigs, and wheat for the llamas!

As you find yourself imaging all the mobs you might collect you start to wonder… is that your calling? Chaotically collecting more and more mobs?

Leather might not make the strongest armor – but any armor is better than nothing!

As you secure the materials you need and watch the wandering trader walk very quickly away from you, you begin to wonder… might you be a brawler?

Build a paddock for the llamas, they deserve the best

Sure, these llamas might not be YOUR llamas (yet?) but they still deserve a cute home.

As you plan a beautiful paddock – complete with a mini market at one end – you start to wonder, is this YOUR kind of chaos? Building beautiful things?

Steal the llamas. They’re my llamas now!

See a cute mob? Collect a cute mob!

Your plan to steal the llamas is simple – you’ll simply ask the wandering trader to step inside these fence posts, and then lead those wheat-loving llamas further and further away!

In fact, you lead them all the way home, and you wonder – am I a rancher? A collector of mobs?

Try and find it!

You hunt sideways, downwards, upwards –until finally you find the creeper! You run at it with your fists – ready to fight. Ready to WIN!

Do you think perhaps you might be a brawler…?

Ignore it and keep digging

You dig and you dig and you dig – until you can hear... bubbling? There’s something orange glowing beneath you! You keep digging until –

Oh. It was lava. The orange glowy thing was lava.

You fall COURAGEOUSLY into lava – the brave player that you are. At least you didn’t lose any inventory – because you never stopped to collect anything!

You’re not just a bit chaotic – you are chaos incarnate!

You might have a sword in your hand – but you’re NOT a fighter.

Besides, what did that cute creeper ever do to you!!

Perhaps you’re more likely to want to care for mobs, than defeat them? Does that sound like you?

You don’t follow rules – you break them. You’re brave, and courageous – and you plan on causing absolute pandemonium with the sulfur cube in all the ways you can.

 

Chaos Cubed is coming on June 16 – and knowing you, you’ll be READY! Not just for all the ways you can use the sulfur cube (did you know it can absorb TNT?) but for all the hostile mobs awaiting you in those sulfur caves…!

Your base is never too full for one more mob friend! With chests filled with leads, and paddocks aplenty, you’ll be adding the sulfur cube to your collection of cuties soon!

 

Chaos Cubed lands on June 16, bringing with it a curious new mob – the sulfur cube! Collect it with leads or scoop it up with a bucket to bring it back to your base!
