REALMS PLUS: DECEMBER
The latest maps, skins, and adventures from the Minecraft Marketplace!
It’s December, and you know what that means! Eating holiday cookies straight from the tin while you lay under every blanket you can find. No? Oh, right, it means that this is the last collection of featured Realms Plus content for 2020! I think we can all agree that this year has not been what we all expected, but to make up for it, let these fantastic picks totally blow your Realms Plus expectations out of the water!
I have always been deeply suspicious of robots. Not just robots, I’m even wary of my kitchen appliances that enjoy a bit too much independence. Looking at you, slow cooker that can be controlled over Wi-Fi. To help me work through my fears, Sapphire Studios has provided the Automaton II The Corrupted pack! With nine corrupted skins and one construction droid skin, I will finally understand how it feels to live a day in the life of a robot. Just don’t ask me to try and understand my slow cooker. That thing is magic.
Fashions come and go with the season, but one fact will always remain: you have to keep it cute. Is “cuteness” subjective? Not in this article, where I call the shots and I decide what is cute. This pack of 12 skins (aptly named Cute Winter Friends) is definitely cute! You heard it here, folks. I’m personally looking forward to playing as a penguin wearing a matching hat and sweater combo.
Have you ever tried to plan a vacation and thought to yourself, “wow I wish this place just had an enchanted bee forest?” Because I have and let me tell you that the hospitality industry is really lacking in this regard. Luckily the Skycube pack by King Cube is not limited by such petty things like “people are deathly afraid of bees” and has provided a wild experience for the adventurer who prefers to stay at home. From the mushroom castle to an Ender city, you’ll find thrilling quests, achievements, mobs, and challenges!
Sometimes you need a change of scenery to appreciate what you had all along, but then other times you get a glimpse of something that makes you never want to go back! That’s how I feel about the Tales of Jobutara Kingdoms by Pathway Studios, which transforms any world into a fantasy with a colorful RPG-inspired texture pack. Don’t mind me ignoring my to-do list, I’m too busy ogling these custom textures for blocks, mobs, tools, weapons, and more!
Put on your best tap-dancing shoes cause we’re getting ready for a fight! What, you don’t fight your enemies in a musical style sing-off? Oh. Well that explains a lot of complaints I’ve had about my approach to conflict resolution. Luckily for me, the Super! Dungeons pack by Pixels & Blocks lets you battle against six bosses, so I’ll get plenty of combat practice. Fight your way through colorful dungeons and pick up some unique cosmetics, armor, and weapons along the way.
I love a shortcut, and the Miniature Dimensions pack really takes the strawberry shortcake. Because everything is short here. Miniature, if you will. Everything is small and resources are plenty, that’s the joke. Trade cobblestone for materials, build the mini-mansion of your dreams, or take on a diminutive dragon – everything is at your fingertips with this content!
