People celebrate Pride around the world at different times of the year, some of us even celebrate it every single day. No matter where you are, when you celebrate, or how you do it – I am here today to sing out Happy Pride! Because today is the day that Mojang Studios kick off our Summer of Pride celebration. There are endless ways to play with blocks and just as many to celebrate Pride, which is why we needed an entire season for all our plans!
We are going to be digging deeper into Pride across our different channels as well as right here on Minecraft.net. Keep your eyes open so you don’t miss out on the fun! I don’t want to give everything away, but I can promise you that we’ve got some incredible stories to tell, beautiful builds to showcase, and fantastic freebies for all. We are also honored to be able to shine a blocky spotlight on our community members and creators.
Pride celebrations are often festive and that is exactly what they should be. We’ve come a long way, but it’s also important to remember why Pride exists. Let’s celebrate this part of the journey while still keeping one eye on the road that brought us here and the other on the blocks that will pave our path into the future.
