Here’s how it works
The gist of it is straightforward: you find valuable mobs and bring them to your home base. There, you display your Mob Collection to generate money. There’s increasingly rare Mobs to find, mutations in Mobs that add diversity (and value), and even achievements and quests to uncover! It’s a little like running a museum or an art gallery, if that museum or art gallery was specialized in exhibiting Minecraft mobs… and that gallery was constantly under raid by art thieves. (Move over, Louvre!)
But where an art curator might shudder at the thought of people raiding their galleries and stealing their collections, competitive Minecraft players welcome the challenge. After all, there are few joys in life quite like snatching a prize from under another player’s nose – or like barely surviving a competitive bout and defending your hard-won collection.
Luckily, you don’t have to worry about getting mobbed immediately. You start opted out of PVP, giving you a chance to get a head start on growing your collection. But don’t get too comfortable – it won’t be too long until your collection will be up for grabs. And if people are half as ferocious as my grandmother when tempted with the prospect of a pair of rare sugar tongs… it’s about to get interesting.
Let’s close it off with a sentence that sounds odd in any other context: hurry up and look for Rob A Mob on the server tab - and get robbing!
