Your horses have always been mighty, but now they’re going to be able to withstand even more mayhem with their brand new Netherite armor! As we all know, Netherite is not only great for protection, but it is also very, very cool. Just ask the lava it can withstand! As one of the most metal metals Minecraft has to offer, it is only fitting that mayhem-loving mounts can don this awesome armor!
To make this new horse armor, get to your smithing table and combine diamond horse armor with a Netherite ingot and a Netherite upgrade smithing template. Voila! Your mount has been mayhemed!
Mounts of Mayhem
This is the final testing opportunity, so let’s recap on all the things that have been in testing so far. As the game drop name suggests, there are new mounts to help you bring on more mayhem. Have you swum with the nautilus? It’s not only gorgeous and based off a real sea creature, but can save you from running out of air by giving you the Breath of the Nautilus. If you’re swimming around in the ocean, chances are you’ll float by a zombie nautilus with a trident-wielding drowned on its back.
Rumor has it that there’s a special variant that can be found in the tepid temperatures of the warm ocean. Get your goggles on and go find it!
The zombie horse and camel husk are also new mounts that terrified me, even if they’re passive on their own. But when they’re ridden by hostile mobs like zombies, drowned, or the brand new parched? Then you better hope you’re holding the spear, a new weapon that comes with the unique Lunge enchantment. Phew! That was a long list! Hats off to all of you who have been helping us make sure these mounts are all about mayhem.
I know you’re all chomping at the Netherite bit to test out the new horse armor. And who can blame you? They embody the beauty that is mayhem, it’s only right your mounts should display them.
