    Marketplace Content: May 2025

    Let’s channel surf this month’s Marketplace Pass and Realms Plus

    Unfortunately lucky for me, I’m part of the TV generation! You know, those who came home from school to channel surf for hours, were enthralled by Saturday morning cartoons, and who had to keep time to avoid missing a specific show! 

    What I’m trying to say is that 21 great shows pieces of content are waiting for you, like I waited for the next episode of Thundercats to start. So, let’s park ourselves on the sofa, place our collective trust in classic TV entertainment, and visualize this month’s edition of Marketplace Pass and Realms Plus content through the eyes of a TV aficionado (just let me rant reminisce about the good ol’ days, okay?). 

    Texture Pack: Actions & Stuff by Oreville Studios

    Woah! What’s this? I can barely recognize this show, it seems like they’ve updated it! Both the hero of the show player and all mobs come with custom-made animations that will change the way you look at movement! Just look at those baby mobs scurrying about... awww! The high-fidelity sound is also something extra: creeper explosions will now shake you to your very core, while both textures and visual effects are crisper than a laserdisc! I love these kinds of eye-candy shows packs where you’re just in awe, lulled into a visual wonderland, getting to gaze upon something new. Basically, this is like when color TV came out (I’ve heard! I’m not that old!).

    Add-On: Lucky Block Evolved Add-On by 57Digital

    Oh, look, a do-it-yourself show! And not just DIY, it’s also about mining and finding special “lucky blocks”. Some of these lucky blocks hold a special surprise inside, and when you find enough special surprises, you might get a lucky crystal. This, in turn, can be used to super charge your weapons – among other things. This show is equally informative and exciting – I approve!

    World: Mutant Zombie Dungeons by Everbloom Games

    Mutant Zombie Dungeons is a show I can only watch peeking through my fingers... it’s a bit scary! But to sum it up: zombies are taking over the world (bad) and the hero (you) need to stop them (good). It seems packed with hacking and slashing, and lots of zombies. But they are MUTATED zombies! So, it’s not your regular Minecraft zombies – some crawl and some are huge. And just look at the combat – those stunts aren’t for the faint of heart! I’m definitely watching this as soon as I’ve built up some courage brewed myself a cup of tea.

    Mash-up: Unicorn Ranch Mashup by Lifeboat

    Finally, something a bit less scary now. Ohhhhh, just look at those cute unicorns! So many and all with their own special abilities! One of them even turns into a seahorse underwater AND you can raise baby unicorns to then ride them! That’s it! I’m sold; this is now my favorite show. Even the tagline is catchy: Kindness is magic!

    Texture Pack: NostalGea by Pathway Studios

    A blast from the past! This show (yes, yes, I know these aren’t TV shows, get off my back!) is just one big ode to the old ways. In NostalGea, everything looks exactly like it did when side scrollers were a “thing”, adopting a 2D-looking approach. I’m reliving my childhood with all these textures. You see? Not everything has to be all flashy – simplicity is beauty! That’s what I’ve mumbled sometimes always said.

    Even more shows? What is this, TV-on-demand? 

    Skin Pack: Fashion Teens by inPixel

    Time for some youthful fashion! I’m not usually into fashion, but the clothes in Fashion Teens are superb. I can definitely see myself strut along any biome, sporting a hoodie, a cap (backwards, of course), or plaid pants! I’m unleashing my inner teen here, thanks to the glorious invention known as TV!

    Time for Saturday morning cartoons (and no, my eyes won’t go square from watching too much TV, too early in the morning, mom!). It’s anime time and I’m, for one, will suit up and join in with wacky, gravity-defiant, blue hair!
