    Build Challenge: Allay Sanctuary

    Feels like yesterday we were watching Minecraft Live and getting hyped up from all the new and exciting content that was revealed – especially the Mob Vote. Of course, there’s no better way to celebrate the upcoming arrival of the adorable allay than with a fabulous build challenge!

    Participants were asked to build anything akin to a home, statue, or monument in order to honor our special new friend. This was also a solo contest, so what you’ll see below are awesome creations from a single individual!

    1st place: ChomChom

    We can’t get over how serene, cute, and precious this submission from ChomChom is! This allay looks to be in the lap of luxury: relaxing in a hammock, smiling with their cookie, and enjoying the beautiful ambiance. Look close enough and you might spot a firefly or two!

    2nd place: Strangers

    Titled “Balance”, Strangers really blew us away with this. Look at the detail on those wings! They described their submission as, “The allay, a newfound creature among the realm, aspiring to coexist with the Vex – despite their very different natures. Together they bring unison between light and dark; contrasting the disconnection there is within the domain.”

    3rd place: .Alex

    .Alex took their submission into a musical direction, giving the allay a bevy of instruments to play and make some soothing melodies whilst surrounded by clouds as fluffy as cotton. It’s a good thing this allay has a cookie, because they’re going to get hungry pretty fast after all that playing!
