Beyond the pale garden

Many walls have had a makeover since the free Phantom Frames add-on was released this morning. Art is known to transport you to other places, but the players of this add-on claim to have seen somebody physically walk through a painting – only to never return! Which one of the many variations of frames was involved has not yet been confirmed. Investigators are instead busy following up reported sightings of the player in other biomes but are so far unsuccessful. Instead, a rumor is spreading amongst locals where some claim to have seen somebody move inside said paintings.

So are these frames cursed or are they haunted? We tried to track down the merchant selling these paintings to get an interview, but apparently, they only come out at night which, due to what's now called “the Sophie incident”, we don’t.

Moving over to cozier news. Today, several players have been seen venturing far into the pale garden for some... well, unexpected camping. To many, a somewhat eerie biome would not have been the first choice to spend the night, but these happy campers beg to differ. They have come equipped with not only hammocks and tents in various colors, but flashlights and a mob detector. “Nothing beats telling ghost stories around a campfire in the dead of night,” says one of these brave players. And we have to admit, eating s’mores under the northern lights does sound appealing. Let’s just hope the creaking doesn’t think so too.

PAID ADD-ON: Ghost Pets by Aria

Speaking of ghost stories, players were in for a fluffy but ghastly surprise today as adoptions for ghost pets opened. Unsure whether to cuddle or cry, consensus among pet parents-to-be seems to be that these glowing ghouls are quite the charmers. Experts, however, are concerned that this will likely skyrocket the already substantial cases of pet hoarding within Minecraft communities and do urge those in the risk group to act with caution. Since ghost pets have been reported to come with unexpected abilities and do require you to summon them with a wand, we deem this advice wise, albeit unlikely to be followed by the masses.
