The music of Minecraft Dungeons II

A guide to writing songs for sequels, singers, and entire dimensions!

PETER'S FAVORITE TRACKS

02 - Main Menu: "I think it does a good job of covering several of the core ideas around themes and instruments in the game. Even though I want to the Dungeons II soundtrack to be an evolution, I also wanted the first theme players hear to be at least a segment of the theme from the previous game."

41 - Witch: “One of the first combat tracks I wrote for Dungeons II. I just wanted it to feature the silliness of Raid Captain from Dungeons I, and the pretense of the portal melody in Dungeons II. I feel like it ended up conveying both something quirky and interesting.”

130 - vii°7: “The core idea between how the Overworld and Sift relate to each other musically in one short, endlessly looping chord progression, swinging from one dimension to the other.”
