Have you been having a sniffing time exploring the new update? I’ve hatched a snifflet, met a baby camel, and my cherry wood cottage is looking pretty and pink. But just like the girl-turned-blueberry in Willy Wonka, I want MORE. Luckily, starting in just two days’ time (!) there’s going to be a very special weekend-long event, themed around the Trails & Tales Update!

The Trails & Tales Event
Join us for a weekend of 1.20 fun!
The Trails & Tales Event* lets you dive into a very special themed map via Minecraft: Bedrock Edition alongside players from all over the world!
The fun kicks off NOW at 10 am PST Friday, June 23 and will last the whole weekend until 10 pm PST on June 25! Don’t worry if you’re not on Pacific Time – there's a list of handy time translations at the bottom of this article! But wherever you are in the world, between Friday and Sunday you’ll have 60 magical hours to dig even deeper into the new update!
Ride a blocky rollercoaster around an epic map created by The Hive, and get a birds-eye view on everything you can do! There are three sprawling sections for you to explore, from a serene Cherry Grove with a winding river, to the Camel Canyon, and The Lost World which is filled with my favorite new mob: the sniffer.
How to join the live event
To join the Trails & Tales Live Event, look for the dedicated button on the main screen of Minecraft: Bedrock Edition! You’ll be able to join between Friday June 23 at 10am PT (7pm CET) and Sunday June 25 at 10pm PT (June 26, 7am CET). Please note the event won’t be available in other versions of Minecraft so make sure touse a console or Android; or launch the Bedrock Edition if playing on your computer!
You’ll also need an internet connection to take part in the event, which means that you must have a subscription that includes online play on consoles, like Xbox Live Gold/Game Pass, PlayStation Plus, or Nintendo Switch Online. To join from a child account, make sure that server play is enabled in the account’s settings; this is turned off by default.
If anyone wants to say hi, I’ll be riding the park-wide rollercoaster for as long as my vertigo allows. See you theeeerrrreeeeeee!
*Requires the latest version of Minecraft: Bedrock Edition (sold separately); event runs from 6/23/23 10am PST to 6/25/23 10pm PST. Limit 1 free Cherry Wood Tee per person/account; item awarded automatically into player’s dressing room, after restarting game.
