3 days until Minecraft Live

In just three days, we’ll be live with all the newest Minecraft news, the deepest dives with content creators, and a sprinkling of top-secret secrets. The mob vote is also kicking off tomorrow, and it will span two days! Although I still don’t know how I’ll be able to choose just one favorite mob, I’m going to try and make a decision by the end of this article. So let’s dive into everything you need to know before Minecraft Live spreads its elytra wings and lifts off for 2023.

When does Minecraft Live start? 

Minecraft Live starts live streaming at 5 pm UTC on Sunday, October 15. If you have no idea what that means in your time zone, then you are not alone! I only just learned that “CET” doesn’t stand for “creepers explode tirelessly”. You can find your global showtime here (or by checking the handy image below).

The penguin is a social mob, and you'll find it waddling around the stony shores biome. A little clumsy on land, the penguin is a strong swimmer when it's in the water. It's helpful too, because this amphibious mob can help your boat travel faster! 

The armadillo lives in the savannah biome. If you startle the armadillo, it will curl up into a blocky ball! The armadillo also drops a scute that you can use to craft a new type of armor, wolf armor – which will give your pet wolf some extra protection. 

The crab makes its home in the mangrove swamp and has one enormous claw! It doesn't just use it for waving at players (hello!) - this giant claw is actually very special. If a player manages to find one, they can use it to place blocks further away when building.

Nab special Character Creator items via Twitch and TikTok 

Watch Minecraft Live on Twitch and you’ll be able to unlock up to three exciting Character Creator items for Minecraft: Bedrock Edition* that combine to create a frog-tastic set! You have to watch the livestream to participate (not the video on demand!) so tune in from 5 pm UTC on October 15, and watch until the end to collect all three items! 

There will also be a special drop for TikTok users, with a soothing cherry grove theme! Drop a special Minecraft word into selected Creator channels across the US, Australia, France, Germany, Indonesia, Japan, Vietnam, and Thailand and you’ll unlock something special to wear in-game!
