We’re talking desert island adventures, fierce aquatic combat (aka water fights), teleportation without jet lag, visits to the zoo, and much more. Pack your bags with the fresh new skins and let’s go!

The brave, the bold, and the beach biome ready!
Our first destination: a desert island. Just you, the beach, and those blocky, turquoise waves. Sounds pretty good, doesn’t it? But if you think you can just kick back and catch some rays, think again. Ultimate Survival Biomes by the Craft Stars sure lives up to its name. Ten different biomes, buried treasure, and an adventure guaranteed to put all your survival skills to the test.
If being stranded isn’t your thing, Random Skyblocks by Doctor Benx will have you spawning onto a new island every 60 seconds. Missing civilization already? Hop into a convertible and cruise your way over to Seaside City by Pixelbiester which has beaches AND skyscrapers. You can also avoid decision fatigue altogether and leave your destination up to fate with SKYBLOCK+ by Mythicus where you generate random sky blocks and let those lead your builds.
Whether you’re butting heads with a family member or a hostile mob, there’s only one mature way to settle a dispute in the summer: WATER FIGHT! Aqua Weapons by GoE-Craft will get you fit for fight in a splash. Load up the water blaster of your choice, take aim, and soak up the triumphant feeling of watching your enemies (did I spell little sister wrong?) lose!
There’s also the option of going full villain with Secret Evil Lair by NoxCrew. Located on the mountainside, this DLC will have your high-tech base filled with perilous traps, lethal contraptions, and ethically questionable gadgets, all at your disposal... They say the consequences of your decisions inevitably catch up with you but to make sure that never happens, I’m practicing my escape with Ninja Parkour by Everbloom Games and having a right adventure! Who would’ve thought recklessness would pay off? Actually, never mind. We’ve been put into detention with Escape Room: School by Pathway Studios and have exactly one hour to get out or we’re trapped at school ALL SUMMER!
Perhaps we need a more wholesome excursion? Let’s head into the exotic world of Jungle Zoo by Pixelheads and make friends with 70 different wild animals at the zoo! From crocodiles and sloths to snakes and gorillas; these beasts are just as majestic in their blocky form. Tempted to see them in their natural habitat? Head out on the wild jungle safari! Just make sure to watch your back if you want to keep your blocky limbs intact.
If things get too heated in the jungle, cool down in the snow with Snow Animals HD by Impress as one of the polar bears, penguins, or arctic foxes. For those who only have eyes for felines you can set up the cat sanctuary of your dreams in Pets: Cats by Everbloom Games. More of a dog person? With Furniture: Dogs by 4KS Studios you can finally prove it.
After losing my base on multiple occasions this spring, resulting in my frantically rowing for nights on end, I’m giving my arms a break by trying out Portal Blasters by Chewmingo. In this world, you can build portals and travel through time and space to flee danger or the mundanity of endless trekking. From the windswept savannah to mountain peaks to the deep dark to your own base– it’s now all within reach (unless you also forget where you put the portals).
If by this point your homesickness is starting to kick in, bring your base with you with Pocket Houses by Dodo Studios. Can’t wait to get back to your bed? Then protect it with your life before enemies destroy it in Bed Wars Kits by Dodo Studios. There’s nothing wrong with being a homebody, especially in Ultimate OP Base by GoE-Craft where you have the most powerful base in Minecraft.
Summers are also for revving up your engine and going on a road trip. Or, in this case, climbing into the giant mob robot you’ve built to conquer the Overworld. Head to the workshop to craft the robot of your choice and use its bespoke weapons to conquer everything from piglin mechs to other players to the Ender dragon itself!
If giant mob robots don't scream vacation to you, then take on a challenge on a smaller scale (literally) with Tiny Mobs by Chewmingo.
TEXTURE PACKS
Nothing like a vacation to help you get a fresh perspective and see everything in a new light. And doesn’t the Overworld look much more colorful and the Nether almost… dreamy? That’s all the texture pack Consistently Cubed by Chillcraft.
There’s also the option of permanently relocating to fairytale land to live happily ever after. Just mount your unicorn and ride into the sunset with Storytime by Cubecraft Games.
