You’re familiar with fire charges right? The nasty projectiles that blazes and Ghasts hurl in your direction when exploring the Nether? Yeah, those are unpleasant. But, er, I’ve got some bad news for you. Minecraft’s latest update features something not entirely dissimilar – the wind charge. Let’s come to terms with this concerning development the only way I know how – by crowning it our item of the month.
Wind charges are a type of single-use ranged weapon. Throw one and WHOOSH! Whatever it hits will be hit by a violent gust of wind. Added in the Tricky Trials update, they’re a handy way of keeping nasty mobs away from you, as well as interacting with certain redstone blocks from a distance.
