Minecraft, Mattel, and Muller DLC QR Promo
TERMS OF ENTRY
- The “Minecraft, Mattel, and Muller DLC QR Promo” (the “Promotion”) is conducted by Microsoft Corporation, One Microsoft Way, Redmond, WA 98052, USA (the “Promoter”) and sponsored by Mattel Inc. (“Mattel”) and Muller Ltd. & Co. KG (“Muller”) (each, a “Sponsor”).
- These Terms of Entry set out the conditions for participation in the Promotion.
- All entry instructions and download information published by the Promoter on its promotional materials form part of these Terms of Entry.
- The Promotion is open to anyone whose main residence is in the US, CA, UK, DE, FR, Aus, Japan. Employees of the Promoter, Sponsors, and their associated companies and agents, and the immediate family members of such employees, are not eligible to enter the Promotion. Immediate family members are any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother or step-sister.
- If under 18 years of age, the entrant must have the permission of a parent or guardian to enter.
- The Promotion commences at 00:01 GMT on 1st December 2023 and ends at 23:59 GMT on the 10th of January, 2024 (the “Promotion”). Download Codes may be redeemed by eligible entrants from 00:01 GMT on 1 December 2023 until 23:59 GMT on 22 March 2024 (the “Redemption Period”).
- The Promotion concerns a digital item to be downloaded and used for the computer game Minecraft Bedrock Edition (the “Digital Item”). Approximate retail value for each Digital Item ranges from $1-$2 USD, 1€ - 2€, or .9p – £1.8 GBP.
HOW TO ENTER
- Entrants require an existing subscription or purchase of Minecraft Bedrock Edition to redeem and use the Digital Item. A Microsoft Account is required to access Minecraft and make use of the Digital Item.
- To enter and receive a unique downloadable code (the “Download Code”) and redeem the Digital Item, each entrant must, during the Promotion Period:
a. Visit participating Muller retail stores that are promoting the QR code for the downloadable content, and find the Minecraft products and toys (including Mattel products and toys) that display the QR codes (“Qualifying Minecraft Promotional Assets”). Muller’s in-store rules and policies may apply to your visit of Muller retail stores.
b. Scan the QR code using a compatible device, such as a smartphone with a QR code reader installed. Scanning the QR code will take you to your starting point. In some instances, instead of a QR code, a URL will be present to click on to take you to the starting point.
c. Follow the on-screen prompts to unlock the Download Code.
d. Either: (i) select the option to send the Download Code to an email address to be redeemed later; or (ii) copy the Download Code and visit https://www.minecraft.net/redeem to redeem instantly. Each Download Code is unique and provides access to one (1) Digital Item.
e. To redeem the Digital Item, when visiting https://www.minecraft.net/redeem, scroll down to “Redeem the Mattel Character Creator Item Code” and type or paste your Download Code in the “Enter Code” box.
f. Sign in with the Microsoft Account in which you would like to use the Digital Item.
g. Follow the instructions to download the Digital Item.
- Multiple entries are permitted for different Microsoft accounts, subject to the following:
a. Multiple entries will require the visiting of multiple Qualifying Retail Assets promoting the offer and access to multiple Microsoft accounts.
b. Completion of steps 9.a to 9.g (inclusive) will count as one (1) entry.
c. Only one (1) Download Code can be used per Microsoft account.
d. Each Download Code is unique and cannot be used more than once.
e. Each Download Code provides access to one (1) Digital Item. For each entry, the same Digital Item will be available for download.
f. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify any entry or entrant who the Promoter has reason to believe has failed to comply with these Terms of Entry, including by: (i) tampering with the entry process; (ii) submitting an entry which is not in accordance with these Terms of Entry; (iii) providing false information; or (iv) any unlawful or other misconduct that may damage the fair and proper conduct of the Promotion.
- No Download Code can be exchanged for cash.
- All ancillary costs associated with redeeming the Download Code and Digital Item are not included in the Promotion, including any costs related to access the Internet.
- The Promoter is entitled to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion if, because of a problem outside our control that we could not reasonably have anticipated, it is not possible to run the Promotion as planned. Reasons for this might include computer viruses, mobile network failure, server fault, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures on the part of a third party, or any other cause beyond the control of the Promoter which might corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness or integrity of the Promotion.
- If for any reason an entrant does not redeem a Download Code during the Redemption Period, then they will forfeit their right to the Download Code.
- The use of any automated entry software or any other mechanical or electronic means that allows an entrant to automatically enter the Promotion repeatedly is prohibited and the Promoter is entitled to consider all entries submitted by that entrant invalid.
- All e-mail addresses provided by entrants in connection with the Promotion will be collected and processed by the Promoter for the purposes of delivering the Download Code to your e-mail address, in accordance with these Terms of Entry and in accordance with the Promoter’s Privacy Statement. By providing your e-mail address to Promotor, you acknowledge and agree to this use of your e-mail address by the Promoter. The collection of personal data by the Promoter is necessary for Promotor to deliver the Download Code to your e-mail address. Further information on how the Promoter will process your data can be found within the Promoter’s Privacy Statement. We strongly recommend that you read the Promoter’s Privacy Statement carefully before participating in the Promotion.
- If there is a dispute as to the identity of the entrant claiming the Digital Item, the Promoter reserves the right, acting reasonably, to determine the identity of the entrant. In the event that the entrant claiming the Digital Item cannot be determined, the Promoter reserves the right not to provide the Digital Item to that entrant.
- The Promoter will be liable to you for any reasonably foreseeable loss or damage that you suffer as a result of our breach of these Terms of Entry, or our negligence or misconduct in relation to the Promotion. “Reasonably foreseeable” means that it was obvious to both of us (being the Promoter and the entrant) at the time you entered the Promotion that the loss would be likely to arise in the event of this kind of breach, negligence or misconduct. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Promoter and Primark and their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents will not be liable to you for any loss or damage that is not reasonably foreseeable, that is not caused by our breach of these Terms of Entry, negligence or misconduct, or that you could have avoided by taking reasonable action that you did not take. The limitation of liability does not apply to claims for damages arising from death, personal injury, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, statutory liability provisions, in particular product liability laws, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by applicable law by the Promoter.
- As a consumer you have certain legal rights against us as Promoter that cannot be excluded by agreement. These Terms of Entry therefore do not affect your non-excludable legal rights.
- This Promotion is governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the country in which the entrant has its main residence, and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the country in which the entrant has its main residence.
